Gene Logic’s Genomics and Toxicogenomics products and services together constitute a platform that helps advance drug discovery and development, and enhances productivity. In Discovery, we enable the understanding of underlying mechanisms of disease and the discovery and prioritization of gene targets and biomarkers. Once drug candidates have been identified, we help in the prioritization of compounds based on their potential for human toxicity. In clinical development, we can aid in the stratification of patient populations to identify those patients that might be best suited for, and most responsive to, particular drugs and therapies.

Gene Logic’s ToxExpress® Program enables pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to add toxicogenomic analysis to their evaluation of candidate and lead drug compounds. Our portfolio of subscription products and services helps researchers address issues in predictive, mechanistic, and investigational toxicology as well as safety marker discovery. The ToxExpress® Program is based on our extensive experience using microarrays to examine gene expression dysregulation generated by compound treatments.
The BioExpress® System provides a comprehensive collection of Affymetrix GeneChip® array data from more than 40,000 samples of human and animal tissues, including normal and disease conditions in more than 200 tissue types, as well as carefully designed studies to examine particular areas of interest. The BioExpress® System contains millions of gene expression profiles, curated references to public data, rich clinical information about the donors and the samples, and industry-leading quality control measures to reduce sample variability. You can use these data, along with the Genesis Enterprise System® Software, to form and probe critical scientific hypotheses.
The ASCENTA® System is a web-accessible data analysis system that provides microarray gene expression profiles from over 1,500 clinically-relevant normal and diseased tissue sample sets from human and animal disease models. The sample sets are curated and annotated by expert pathologists and molecular biologists for use in target identification and discovery of biomarkers of disease.
The Genesis Enterprise System® Software provides the computational platform for enterprise wide, rigorous, open-ended data mining and analysis for the BioExpress® System and ToxExpress® System. GX® Connect, a component of the Genesis Enterprise System® Software, allows the integration of customer-generated data for side-by-side analysis of customer data with Gene Logic’s reference data.
