ToxScreen™ Report

An Application of Computational Predictive Toxicology

Gene Logic’s ToxScreen® Report can be used as a routine, yet critical analysis in the drug development process. We have completed more than 350 reports to date, and the number continues to grow. ToxScreen® Reports can help drive downstream compound decisions by providing you with:

  • An assessment of potential human risk based on rat gene expression data
  • A means to prioritize compounds based on gene expression toxicity assessment
  • Identification of lead compounds with the most promising clinical profiles
  • Identification of additional clinical pathology parameters that may need to be added or adjusted to standard Preclinical studies

ToxScreen® Reports leverage Gene Logic’s expert teams to build statistically validated, gene expression-based, predictive toxicogenomic models. These reports are built on the foundation of our extensive ToxExpress® System. To build the models, our scientists measure changes in rat gene expression as a result of exposure to well-characterized pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Comprehensive Compound Profile

Comprehensive Compound Profile

ToxScreen® Reports classify the compounds according to end pathology observed in rats in vivo and in humans. In addition to the predictive pathology, the expression data yield overall general toxicity statistical models. The models provide a basis to evaluate gene expression profiles obtained from short-term rat in vivo client studies.

You initiate the ToxScreen® Report by providing Gene Logic scientists with your test article, test article-treated tissues or RNA, or Affymetrix gene expression data. We can also work with you to perform needed in-life studies (via a subcontract) or generate your microarray data through additional custom services.
