(d/b/a Gene Logic), a genomic sciences company based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is seeking to sell its US operations as a going concern. The Company today announced that in consideration of the high level of interest in purchasing the Company expressed by a number of potential buyers, particularly within the last several days, the Company obtained permission from the Court to reschedule the auction of its ongoing operations and assets to allow the newly identified and interested potential buyers additional time to perform their due diligence and submit a bid. Gene Logic is committed to operating its business as a going concern and continuing to serve its clients until a strategic partner is identified or the Company’s operations are sold.

The rescheduled auction of Gene Logic’s operations will occur on January 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the offices of Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. The deadline to submit bids has also been extended; the new bid deadline is January 20, 2012, at 4 p.m. A sale hearing to approve the auction will occur on January 26, 2012, at 9 a.m.

As previously announced, the Company has retained Burrill & Company, Inc., as its strategic advisor to assist the Company in evaluating strategic alternatives related to Gene Logic. These strategic alternatives include a sale of the US-based company and its entire ongoing operations or a sale of substantially all of its assets.
